Self Reflection

Week 10

Overall I felt that week 10 comprised of unique and interesting topics such as the effects of varying lighting systems (Spotlight, Directional Light, Point Light, Area Light, etc), how to portray emotion with light and the background and use of Photometric lighting.

Personally I have found that completing these internal Lighting class tutorials has helped me to gain an appreciation for the importance of a professional lighting setup within Maya.

This is because a model with visually appealing lighting (such as the added use of colours and light blockers) can easily surpass the quality of its original characteristics, especially in comparison to a basic 3 point lighting setup.
